With wind power you can imagine a valid argument. Lack of space, migratory birds, and maybe a few other things that you could see being proved through scientific observation. I'm sure none of these are why, but like I said it could be plausible.

Banning solar though...that's some of the dumbest shit I've heard of in a while. These idiots don't even seem to realize that at some point it's just free energy. The sun isn't going anywhere before we as a species are dust so why is there always this moronic resistance to harnessing the resource that is infinite in relation to our perspective? Even from a completely greed driven outlook solar may as well be a money hack.
