I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion & I will preface this by saying that I did enjoy the episode all things said and done but can I just say I don't like how al was reduced to a cartoony villian in this episode, like I know the shows point is focusing on ainis and eiuphies relationship and as much as i love ainis and eiuphy, everything algard does other than trying to kill liene is completely justified, him creating a scandal by dissolving his engagement with euphy in front of everyone is a perfectly sane plan, it completely removes euphy from his life without leaving any marks in his or leini's images, perfectly understandable, his attack on the the castle on the other hand is only written to make him into a villian, it is bad writing I am sorry, algard could literally have told leine his fuckin plan and she would have obliged whole heartedly, he already knew that she truly agreed with him, he could have used her as his pawn while he figures out a way to become a vampire by using her in a way that doesn't just kill her in the end, heck ainis would have agreed with al's plans aswell, though I don't think al would have asked her.

though the biggest reason i hate al as a cartoony villian is because his tragedy is directly ainis's fault, ainis abandoned her role as the queen for her selfish goals, i know some will say that that its because she thought al would be a better king, no thats an excuse, she just didn't want to be involved in politics, when she abandoned the role of the queen al stopped meeting with her, she didn't go out of her way to meet with him either she let things become awkward between them, now this would be forgivable if ainis was an actual child but she fuckin wasn't, she is a reincarnated person, she has already been an adult once (if she wasn't then sorry but i think she was an OL), she should have had the brains to go talk to her brother when he stopped talking to her.

"that doesn't mean his actions are justified" thats what I am saying, they are not anymore, al deserved to be redeemed, If ainis kills al i will literally start hating her, tho I dont think she will she does seem to care about him, and regardless this whole situation has completely closed the al x liene route, which fuckin sucks, i think they are doing illia x liene now, not a fan, illia should have remained a part of ainis's harem, heck liene becoming a part of ainis's harem would have been better as well liene could have had a bi harem of her own, could have had a cute brother sister reconciling episode but nooooo algard must be an edgy asshole.
