Terabytes of Enron data have quietly gone missing from the Department of Energy

2 TB of data for a big corporation like that?? Fuck me, a 2TB near top of the line Samsung Evos solid state external hard drives will run you maybe $300. The backup process might take what 10-20 minutes tops? Maybe a billion dollar Corp could take some tips from Windows default back up your files spam alert.

I'd imagine data recovery and lawsuits would cost a shit ton more than buying some back up data and backing up your years worth of 2tb of data. Unless that cost benefit analysis never struck you to begin with in a decade because you're too busy engaging in fraud.

Maybe it should be illegal not to back up your shit, and ironically, perhaps regardless of whether or not you have a history of committing fraud.
