Terribly Exploitative 1/4348 Drop Rate

Why the actual fuck, would I buy spins with real money for a cosmetic that basically everyone gets off th lmao?

Why would you buy keys/spins at all, even if the cosmetic was super rare?

Bonds are a far more efficient way to spend your dollars. Even if you do want the cosmetic, it makes far more sense to buy it with the gold you get from selling bonds, and then pocket the excess gold.

so that's why they need to be rare or jagex doesn't make money

That isn't true at all. Look at Grinding Gear Games, a company that sells only cosmetics at face value, no lootboxes, no subscriptions. Anyone who wants them can get them.

In 2020 with an average player count peak of 30k, they made 1.6 billion. RS3 peaks around the same 30k, and only generated 143 million in revenue for 2020.

GGG gets over 10x the revenue per player as Jagex does with 6 different payment models at the same time.

you can actually get them for LITERALLY $0. but yes sure, they should cost $5 on Solomon's because you actually want them.

So you think $500+ for a single cosmetic is appropriate and sane pricing?
