Is tesla the biggest ponzie scheme in american history?

Tesla owner here who is actively aware of the Tesla cult and tries to stay outside of it. That being said, bottom of reliability? I and everyone of the 16+ owners I know have had absolutely zero issues whatsoever in terms of reliability. Maybe some QA related items, but in terms of "does the car do the thing as consistently as the day I bought it" - yeah, no issues. I frankly had more issues with my IS 300 F Sport than I did with this car. Lotta issues with suspension/handling.

What you need to understand is that the media is extremely motivated by clicks and background interests to shit on Tesla. There is valid critique, such as previously mentioned QA, but consistently Tesla's customers have proven they just don't care about a misaligned piece of plastic when they are driving the most advanced car on the road with effectively zero maintenance costs outside of tires.

Not sure how a car that only requires you to change the tires per industry standard as the only means of regular maintenance is considered unreliable but that is some top tier propaganda if I've ever seen it. You don't take a Lexus in for it's 1000,5000,10000,etc cycles and things start having problems.

With proper use of regenerative breaking you can even get the brakes to extend past last the life of the tires. There are plenty of cases of it lasting well beyond 100k simply because the Engine is doing 98% of the braking.
