Texas high school student meets Dad on border bridge after he couldn’t attend her graduation.

Well, I can only speak in regards to my buddy and I can tell you that his family worked their asses off and paid taxes. I distinctly remember our sophomore year of high school, his mom was stressed about filing their income tax. His mom cleaned houses and worked at a restaurant at night and on the weekends, his younger sister would help her. He worked nights at a catering company and there were many mornings where I would pick him up for school and he was wrecked from lack of sleep. I took my situation for granted and coasted through high school while he was literally struggling to survive and make a better future for his family. They rented a small house with no other family members and they never afforded themselves ANY luxuries. As a matter of fact, he had a pretty serious infection our senior year and he had to ask me for money just to go to a low income clinic. Whenever I think of the Dreamers, I think of my friend and I don't think I'll ever not support them. Getting a few bad apples in the bunch is well worth having honest, hardworking people in our society. Hell, if things were fair and "merit based", they should have sent me to Juarez instead of him.
