Texas Senator Ted Cruz flew to Mexico amid state energy crisis

Idk, I’d expect him to maybe do literally anything in an attempt to help instead of just running to Cancun. When people elect you into power they put within you a certain trust and dignity, and if you’re a half decent person you’d want to do something back for that community, like maybe not just abandoning them in the middle of a crisis. And no, not everybody can just leave Texas. Unlike Ted Cruz, most people are too worried about finding enough food to not starve and not freezing to death to spend whatever money they have left on a plane ticket and book it out of there. The majority of people are not privileged enough to decide to just dip out in the middle of an emergency
