Texas taqueria customer fatally shoots masked robber and returns money to patrons, police say

The Reddit lawyers are absolutely hilarious. There is likely no district in the US where this guy goes on trial for murder, and rightfully so. Different case if he fired a couple shots, went away to do something else - and than came back to shoot someone who was clearly no longer a threat. But this rapid fire instance will go to trial exactly 0 times.

You also don’t shoot to wound or incapacitate - if you pull a gun, it is with intent to kill. Real life isn’t the movies with instant gunshot incapacitation - people shake off shots or get back up or remain threats routinely. He was perfectly justified - both legally and practically - in ensuring the armed robber was no longer a threat.
