Texas Tech on lockdown after reported shooting; tweet indicates “shooter is at large”

No militia stands a chance in hell against the U.S. military.

Horse shit. Look at Afghanistan.

This isn't the revolutionary era. The drones and Air Force alone would make any fight a joke. A short joke.

The US Military is made up entirely of US Citizens, most of which have friends and family in the US.

I'd say the significant majority of the military, police, and probably even the CIA/FBI/NSA would never knowingly and purposefully follow orders to attack US citizens (especially considering that not following unlawful orders is one of the most basic things you are drilled in the military, along with defending the constitution* (see: second amendment)).

Even beyond that retardedness, your solution is just to say "fuck it" and give up on one of the most basic rights this country was founded on because some idiot not old enough to own a handgun shot a cop in a police station with (likely) the cop's handgun?

There is no sensible argument for anyone to have a gun.

Hunting (I hunt for meat, and know people who otherwise would have to move off due to lack of grocery stores and shit), home defense (My neighbor from long ago shot and killed an armed intruder that was molesting her kid in the middle of the night in her home), and defense of the country.

You need to stop staying up so late on Reddit, your parents might get mad. You have school tomorrow.
