Texas trans activist, 11, flees the state after years of advocacy

I do believe society is becoming more conscientious of wasteful and excessive resource utilization, but I must admit that I don’t really trust the hotels and major corporations with their overt initiatives because they only implement the ones that help their bottom line.

I notice hotels now encourage using fewer towels and even install very efficient shower heads and toilets, but these are rather more geared toward increasing profits and lowering utilities. There are many other improvements that could be implemented but would actually require expenses that don’t necessarily make them money.

I’m glad they’re doing some small things, but until there’s a coherent national energy and conservation policy then they’ll continue to dip their toe in the water of conservation while never wading in.
