[TEXT] If you say you can't, you won't

I wish I could convince this to my girlfriend.. She is in a hole right now. She's 19, didn't graduate high school, doesn't have a job, and moved here (California) from Oregon when she was 15. She feels completely down and her parents are upset with her, because in her words, they think she is a loser. She is really such an intelligent girl, she's beautiful, and she has certainly made me very happy. I know she can do anything she puts her mind too, but she tells herself she's "a piece of shit" and can't get a job. She really doesn't realize she is her worst enemy. And that all the time she spending self-loathing, she could be using to better herself. She also tells me that she feels her past actions have screwed the present for her, well one thing that was posted in this sub recently is "do something today that your future self will thank you for." But when I try to motivate her by telling her exactly what this post says, she gets upset, it's like she is too scared to face reality. I really think I have more faith in her than she does in herself. But I am here for her, and I am not going anywhere, because I know she's great. We all go through shitty times.
