Man what the fuck are ya'll talking about. Don't you know this game got popular on those same fucking low complexity champs?

I'm guessing you guys starting playing after season 5 or something when the mobility and power creep was well and truly set in already.

The game has changed from a somewhat predictable digital chess into just an action game made for esports viewership. Not saying that's a good or bad thing, but trashing older champs who haven't been touched in the past 10 years is just stupid.

I think you guys just don't like them because the oldest of the old champs with their point and click stuns counter the stupid hyper mobility shit that's in the game right now, which is why riot is slowly completely reworking every older champion.
