Tfa, Tlj & Tros all have titles that don't make sense

The Force Awakens is actually the one that makes the least amount of sense tbh: Finn is the "awakening" (the "there's been an awakening. Have you felt it?" line happens before anything happens with Rey and right after Finn has his change of heart), but there's not really much else related to the title going on in the film except Rey's Call, which I'm not sure counts.

The Last Jedi also technically makes sense: Leia was never knighted and so is not a Jedi. Luke is (technically) the Last Jedi in the film that's still alive and wants to be the last Jedi ever. Then he decides otherwise. And it was translated as a plural in foreign languages, so it probably refers to both Luke and Rey.

Rise of Skywalker is actually pretty obvious: It's Rey. All of the Jedi speak to her and explicitly tell her to rise, to get back up and fight, and she does. She rises both literally and metaphorically (by rising above her heritage, by rising above her past, by rising above her fears, and by rising above the Emperor) and then she takes on the name 'Skywalker' at the end of the movie to honor Luke and Leia, her mentors and in the case of Leia her more-or-less adoptive parent, and carry their legacy forward into the future. Rey is the Skywalker who rises. I honestly don't know how much more obvious it gets tbh.

I don't particularly like the titles either, but they do make a certain amount of sense within their movies.
