God, the misinformation on how taxes work is so frustrating with these people. Sure, once you reach a certain bracket you arent earning as much per extra hour of work, but that doesn't affect how much you earned per hour before that tax bracket! I can understand someone saying that with the increased tax after X amount of hours worked it stops being worth it to work extra hours. That makes sense, though a lot of times these people don't realize that the utility value of money goes up once you have all of your basics paid for, so it usually ends up still being worth it to keep working even if you earn less money per hour worked after taxes.
