We arrived before the room was ready so had to find ways to kill time around the resort. We tried everything we could think of ti distract her and keep her happy, but she was simultaneously exhausted and overstimulated from her first trip to Disney. Donald walked in and she lit up like a Christmas tree. Through the crowd of grown ups he saw our girl still with tears on her face but suddenly excited and called her over. They interacted for several minutes, not just a quick photo op, including a hug that probably lasted close to a minute. Day 1 of vacation could have doomed the trip from the start, but instead the excitement is only building. I may be a cynical old grump, but Disney magic was real today.
