I don't what iLvL you are but one week one at around i375, which is easy to achieve with crafted gear, you should be pulling 6k as dragoon without mistakes and even up to 6.6 with crit luck and a meta party comp. And you shouldn't be doing meta comps if you are new at raiding, new to the tier or not pulling high numbers/coordinating party buffs.

That said dragoon is the machinist of the dps, it is strict and it punishes you with phasing ogcds outside of your burst windows if you fuck up or don't try to keep the highest uptime possible. Since you haven't posted logs, I'd recommend you to at least check you are meeting this in your logs' casts tab (fight time 9m2s): * 18 Jumps * 9 Spineshatters * 27 Mirage Dives * 17 Geirskoguls * 23 Nastronds * 4 Dragonfire Dives * 6 Blood For Bloods * 4 Dragon Sights * 3 Battle Litanies

This is my week 3 log for reference, in a pug party, no potions, the 2 previous clears were 6.1k for the first and 6.3 for the second. And gear doesn't account for that much, I'm only missing pants and weapon for BiS, I'm 20 ilevels higher than then and I'm starting to parse the same or higher than then now because I have a different party comp, with no ninja, no bard, no astro. What matters is execution, uptime and party comp once you have the previous two.
