That's 4 straight debates without a single question on climate change. Good job, everyone.

NATO has absolutely not ensured its member states had not to worry about an attack-- the lack of a likely attacker since the fall of the USSR had ensured that none of its member states had to worry about an attack. The biggest military threat to Europe is terrorism, which NATO is absolutely useless to combat.

NATO expanded after the fall of the USSR between 1991 and now. Why? To secure resources and trade, and to feed that military-industrial complex. Look how quick they attempt to add Ukraine to the pact once the Ukrainian gas pipeline neared completion. It's now basically geopolitical pseudo-sovereignty used to push economic expansion for its member states, with the Article Five military defense clause a second thought.

The modern US is an unbelievably strong, it's a modern hyper-power that could defeat literally every single other national military on Earth combined at the same time, Russia, China, all of Europe, and everyone else.

So why the fuck are we propagating a useless trans-Atlantic military alliance formed to combat what is now, relative to its past, a dormant and broke country (Russia?)

And don't act like NATO had any other point then that. If Russia suddenly disappeared, what would be the purpose of NATO?
