She doesn’t realize (like most women from other countries) that the US isn’t a fairytale. They think that when they move here, that’s it, they hit the jackpot. The more I watch this show, the more I realize that everyone living in poverty in different countries have extremely disproportionate perceptions of America. They think this place is some sort of utopia where everyone is rich, living in mansions, when that couldn’t be any further than the truth. They don’t realize that moving here gives them even more problems and obstacles than if they would’ve just stayed in their country. It seems like it’s not even worth it but their misconceptions about the US makes them think it’s easy. Someone needs to inform all these people that it’s not all rainbows and butterflies here
