Is their an element of nihilism to be found within all these mass shooters?

Society is all about nihilism. Or, rather, the perpetual attempt/failure cycle of looking for a way around the equality and/or freedom of everyone. Control of others.

The funny thing is that those people call "monsters" just want control. They're bullies. The funny part is that not everyone they pick on wants control which only leaves one solution, other than removing oneself from the environment - bullies want control but many of those they want to control aren't bullies themselves and simply want bullies dead - gone. Along with those who stand by and do nothing while they bully people.

People think mass shootings are random but they're not. They wonder why they didn't shoot up this place or that place or why they shot this one but not that one and usually conclude that it was random or dumb luck but it's not. Nobody cares why the Columbine boys or any mass shooter intentionally and openly does not shoot specific individuals.

Society is a monster/prey factory that calls the results of all of its hard work "random" and "senseless".

Bullies and their prey are very narrow minded. If they weren't - well, if bullies weren't so narrow minded, they wouldn't be bullying people in the first place but if their prey weren't narrow minded...I think they'd aim at the head of the beast - I think they'd be shooting up PTA meetings.
