Theories Thread

Wow, the mod who deleted that is on a tear. There’s a ton of deleted posts and comments now. I don’t doubt the moderation was valid, but in this instance it wasn’t.

OP very much said it was a theory based on their seven years of experience in law enforcement, and cited increased instances of this exact crime.

Its unfortunate this was removed tbh. It was grounded in statistics and a scenario that is highly probable.

The short version is:

Range Rovers are expensive, even if they are used. Its probable the car was a police seizure and resold to K.

There is a high percentage of trade workers in the auto industry who have criminal pasts.

There has been a huge increase of tracking devices placed on cars in the last year.

He speculated K may have crossed paths with someone with a violent criminal past who chose her as a target, either placing a tracking device during the purchase of the vehicle, or VIN lookup.

The reason it resonated is because it truly feels like the killer is experienced in violent acts, break ins, like this retired professional stated in their interview with the news:

Combined with the new announcement that one of the girls was specifically targeted, it appears more likely that someone followed K back to Moscow.
