I've thought about this a little.

So he's a character that flirts with women a lot and sees himself as some sexual prince?

I have hard time believing that BDT's character's main dynamic is going to be his sex drive.

Especially considering the fact that RJ stated that a strong romance isn't a focus on the film, I'd be surprised he would interrupt the film to show some cocky flirt-about weirdo- sexualizing everything around him.

However, for better or for worse, Rian Johnson is going to try to be cool in other ways- perhaps even dissapointing hipstery ways- and my gut is go with you on this one- I suspect it's possible you're right- that it does mean DJ and he's gonna play some "sick galactic beats".

I mean ANH and others had space Jazz- he had the "baroque" Jabba's recital music. We had tribal ewok music.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rian tries to please the millennials and make the rest of us cringe with some hip hop and or technoey stuff.

One also gets the feeling that the Canto Bight sequences happens before Finn and Rose end up on the First Order base (or star destroyer, whatever, same difference)

I think he could be shady hacker who probably steals a fancy ship and helps the resistance hack into the First Order in exchange for his freedom.

And he probably plays music. Rian also mentioned that John Williams was happy to write the incidental music that Rian simply assumed he'd have to get someone else to help him with.
