Theory pertaining to 99 Toyota

Initially, I thought he might have been looking at it but have since changed my mind. I think it's more likely someone would mention the year if they are confirming facts about a missing person/car rather than trying to confirm a car they've found is the right one. If he was actually looking at the car, I think he would have wanted to verify "Blue/Green RAV4" because 99 Toyota seems too vague to me.

A little off track but I thought it was also strange that 2 people both referred to the 99 Toyota as "new"... if I had 99 Toyota in my mind, in 2005, I'd be looking for a car that looks old...

One theory is that he found the RAV4 while illegally searching the Avery property & therefore had to figure out a way to get someone else to find it (Pam). But that would suggest that someone on the Avery property did kill TH.

The other theory is that he found it off of the property. But in that case, why would it be necessary to plant it on the Avery property when all they need is Avery's blood in the car to connect him to the crime?

The only argument to that I can think of at the moment is that by planting the car on the Avery property, perhaps that would lessen the appearance of them planting blood in it because the public wouldn't think they'd have the time/access to do so...

But then the problem is that would still require Pam finding the car... and that hinged on an Avery giving her permission to search the lot; there was no guarantee that they would have said yes & there would be a risk that an Avery may have found the car first & gotten rid of it themselves.

It seems like the safer thing to do would have been to put the car in a spot near the Avery's but on public property where the searchers or police on duty could find it.
