Therapist believes in pseudoscience?

Sorry if I'm coming off offensive but you should know that there is a huge difference between Counsellor and Psychotherapist. You have completed the training to to become a Counsellor and a member of the BACP. The equivalent body for Psychotherapists is the UKCP. There is no official distinction to be a Counsellor however there is to be a Psychotherapist - that's my whole point.

To be a Psychotherapist and become a member of the UKCP however you need to do far more extensive training including 450 hours of supervised clinic practice, over 100 hours of your own therapy (BACP requires 10 right?) and far more written work and study.

I'm not saying for a second that you are a bad therapist or that all Counsellors are bad therapists. Nor that your course was bad. However I do think the entry requirements for the BACP allows some bad Therapists through the net with some wacky beliefs and harmful practices. I also I know for a fact the course in my local college has graduated some of them.
