Therapists of Reddit, when did you find out the 'victim' was actually the manipulative asshole?

I'm not a therapist, however for me it was when I studied "Cluster B Disorders". I started to understand the dynamics of people's behaviors towards others based on a preset of both genetic/environmental issues. Often times, a narcissist will play the role of the victim in order to successfully locate potential prey/fuel sources to feed their needs.

I'm noticing a huge amount of people lately, who are using the victim narrative to push their beliefs on others. Even IF you/they are victims of some sort, it is never healthy to use the victimhood to push your agenda forward. It's always better to do that from a position of healing so that you do not risk projecting your issues unto others.
