There is a 40% chance Apple will acquire Netflix, according to Citi

There is actually almost a 0% chance this happens anytime soon. Apple doesn't make investments as risky as Netflix. While being a market leader, Netflix bleeds money in a very Uber-ish way and is so many years out from being profitable, there's no way that Apple takes the chance. It would be so much smarter for Apple to wait and see how Netflix improves subscribers in the international markets over the next 1-2 full years before overpaying for it. Netflix has an unsustainable business model that is going to require some austerity soon, and if Apple or anyone else bought them and instituted this scaling back of spending that is necessary, they would bleed subscribers so quickly that it could threaten the company's future almost immediately. So everyone take a deep breath.
