There is an interesting difference between this amateur video that goes "into space" and the corporate sponsored Red Bull dive.

I am not a "flat earth-er" or anything like that and I don't even deny that man went into space (because the jury is still deliberating)

That's like saying "I'm not a creationist or anything like that, but the jury is still out on evolution and God might have done it in seven days, leaving us at the center of all the universe."

Simply saying "I'm not [..], but -" is the oldest defense mechanism in the book, and absolutely indicates the speaker is fully aware of the apparent absurdity and/or offense.

Why can't I also be aware of that absurdity and point it out too? I'm not making fun of him. I didn't know this sub catered to flat-earthers. But apparently it does. Hell, one guy believes the earth is a donut. That's another 'theory' I've never heard of.

Sarcastiquotes because none of this shit is up for a good enough test by their reasoning, and further they refuse to accept it might be false: Being falsifiable is a tenet of any true theory. Ergo these aren't theories in any proper sense, they are simply stories hamfistedly asserted and accepted on faith.

Simply put, there's no evidence at all that the earth is flat beyond a trick of perception (because we're human, afterall, not gods), and thus asserting it is against flat the mountains of otherwise dismissed evidence is the exact opposite of the scientific method.

Forgive me, I'm a supporter of actual science, not fantastical notions rooted in conspiracy theories that are predicated on everything from academia being a lie for the purpose of controlling your mind.

Also, NASA is far from our only reasoning of the true shape of the planet. Unless you're convinced Eratosthenes was influenced by NASA 2000+ years ago.

Further, regarding your "entertain the thought" quote, I'll direct you to the part you left out of the copy-paste (you had to consciously remove it, so I'm fully aware you know this):

To activate the "entertain the thought" system: Just add Premise: "......" to your title or into the text box.

I don't see "premise" anywhere, nor has OP implied one at all. This is a simple discussion and I'm entitled to have a view.
