Is there anyone else out there that can’t do a significant age gap?

When I was younger, the women I dated were always a few years older than me. As I got older, they were younger than me.

I'm in this... celibate? period now. The longest I've been unattached my entire adult life. It's going okay, given the state of things.

But the thing I kind of fixate on when I consider myself ready for another relationship is wanting someone who has a well of experience similar to mine. I don't want my future relationship to take on a dynamic based on relative experience or perceived wisdom. I want to find someone who doesn't necessarily look up to me (nor down on me), but exists independently. I'm hoping for a dynamic that is founded on mutuality.

Guess I'll see how that goes when the time comes.
