I moved from a nice developed country that lots of Americans want to move to to America. I strongly prefer America.
Yeah, this sub is full of disgruntled Americans. But also, no country will be perfect for everybody, because people are different. I know lots of people who moved to my country from America and love it there. They have different priorities and abilities than I do, and my country works for them in ways that America doesn't.
Of course you don't know what you're getting into and neither do we, because we are not you. That's the excitement of immigration! When you move, it's important to be maximally prepared and have a plan, but once the important bases have been covered, it's also important to let it go and ride out the experience. You don't know what's going to happen and that's okay. You'll deal with whatever it is. If you find yourself not enjoying Raleigh, you can always find a different solution, whether in America or abroad.
