Is there anyone here who left finance? Why and how did you do it?

I'm on a bit of an odd side of the coin (trading and markets), and to be honest every 3-4 years I have thoughts about leaving.

I'm very fortunate that the first 10 years of my career were very action packed and I was exposed to a lot very quickly, but since innovation has slowed in the space I've been growing increasingly bored.

Sure, there are ways to trade faster, or match trades faster or more efficiently, or even some new potential market models that could be interesting..but ultimately I feel like it's just the same crap ad infinitum.

So, my passive search for an interesting exit continues. I'm comfortable enough in what I'm doing now that it's not a rush, or critical, but hopefully something falls on my plate before I lose my mind.
