We know there are constants governing the universe. And if one of them were slightly different, we would not exist. Therefore, isn't it more likely that this was the work of fine-tuning from an intelligent Creator more than random chance?

Here's the thing: we don't know that's true. Maybe there are other ways for life to exist that we haven't discovered yet.
Second, this idea also relies on the assumption that the only way for the constants to be as they are is if they were fine-tuned by an intelligent being. But there may be other explanations for why the constants are as they are, like the multiverse theory which proposes that there are an infinite number of parallel universes and the constants just happen to be suitable for life in our universe by chance.
And this argument assumes that the universe must have been created for the sake of humanity or other life forms. But it's also possible that the universe exists for its own sake, and that life is just an accidental byproduct of its existence.
So, the idea that that's a proof of a Creator is a nice thought, but it's not a scientifically sound argument. The existence of a creator is a matter of faith. So science can't prove or disprove it, since Science and faith basically approach an explanation like polar opposites.
