Learned it on my 1st year, maybe 4-6 months in.

Thing is, it's very simple so easy to memorize.

However it's very hard to beginner to play the coda. There are lots of jumps that, as a beginner, you can't do in tempo. So maybe skip that to avoid frustration.

People will say you should not play such advanced piece as a beginner but I think it's ok because it motivates you to keep playing. Of course you should also practice reading easier stuff but just for fun it's nice to learn a few pieces you like to play as a warmup or just for fun. Just don't replace practicing sight reading with memorizing pieces, it's a waste of time since when you'll learn to sight read you'll play them without having to memorize, and if you have to memorize, all you have to do is sight read it a few times and then you'll just play perfectly form sheet without having to waste months memorizing.
