Is there Communist bad history that one should be aware of?

The whole fact of the matter is Stalin was never a Communist, but a state capitalist where the state owns the means of production and not the proletariat. People also seem to forget how anti-semetic Stalin was, probably more so than Hitler. Although everybody below the state was considered equal, it was in an oppressive manner, no freedom of speech, you could not organize a trade union only the state could. Voting was basically rigged, heavy censorship, they recruited citizen spies to catch their own people with different political ideologies. They were basically totalitarian state capitalists. And Karl Marx would be rolling in his grave what happened there. The one good thing that happened is that Russia got pulled out of the middle ages and feudalism was abolished, the country industrialised rather quickly compared to the rest of the world and became a super power.
