There is a dash line in front of the Class D airspace vertical limit. What does it mean?

Thanks for your judgmental response.

Oh boy, the "j-word". Now you're getting defensive. Open your mind and listen.

I usually don't bother with things like this, but Christ! Do you have nothing better to do than rant on someone for going to an internet forum and asking a quick question because they genuinely did not know the answer?

No. I don't know everything. No one does, but do you know what we do when we ask a question with a straightforward answer? We look it up.

Yes, I am resourceful enough to go look that up, I wouldn't be where I am now if that wasn't the case. I simply saw the symbol on Skyvector, clicked over to my reddit tab, and asked about it.

It would have been faster to go to images.google.com, typed "sectional legend", clicked the first link, and skimmed for 5 seconds until you found your answer. I kid you not, 30 seconds. Here? You had to type reddit.com/r/flying, click "submit a link" write a long paragraph detailing what you wanted to ask, post, and then beyond all that, you had to wait for a response. One of these is objectively better than the other.

Lay off. YOU are the reason subs become unpleasant. I would rather have 10 curious, albeit slightly unobservant students asking repeat questions about career questions than someone like you posting something like this.

I didn't do anything wrong. Pilots shouldn't get all defensive when someone tells them they're wrong. If you can't look this up then it makes me concerned that you don't have the skills to look up more important things (not that busting bravo isn't important). We should have people asking career questions that are tailored to them. We shouldn't have people asking questions for which answers can be found in 5 seconds.

You're a lowly PPL like me, get off your high horse.

You say "lowly" but I take pride in my PPL and treat it as a great responsibility. If you think of it as a low thing, it's probably why you've grown complacent or are unable to do very basic research. It wasn't like you needed something explained to you. You asked something that has already been answered.
