Is there a good subscription box for zero-waste home & body basics?

Not subscription but ethique does shampoo, conditioner, cleanser, face scrub, moisturizer, body wash, body scrub, body lotion and deodrant all are bars or in compostoble/recycleable tubes. They also do lipstick if you wear that.

They also sell solid concentrates of bathroom/kitchen cleaners and handwash (take a plastic bottle you already have and melt the solid cleaner in boiling water, whisk, cool and pour into plastic bottle). One concentrate makes a massive bottle of cleaner (they also sell concentrates for shampoo/conditioner/body wash and body lotion for people who don't like bars but still want to reduce waste but I haven't tried them).

None of the above is subscription but if you want a "one stop shop" it is probably your best bet, and each product lasts so long you won't need to replace it monthly. For example a shampoo bar lasts me 3 months (it is important to note I have seen people claim they last 6-8 months this is believeable as I have very thick, waist length hair and shampoo everyday so I get through a lot more than most people).

If you are nervous about not liking the products you can get minis of most of the skin and hair products so you could try a mini pack for your skin/hair type with several minis in and then committ to bigger bars of the product you like.

Once you know what works for you you will probably only need to reorder a couple of times a year.
