Why is there so much bad philosophy?

It's like if a child sat down at a chess table and started playing a game where the pawn could jump over other pieces. It's absolutely bad chess, but it's not actually any more or less "wrong" (in the absolute sense) than actual chess -- it's just outside of the tradition of chess and therefore not of interest to those people that study chess.

What constitutes the game of chess is agreed upon by the community of chess players. In chess defined accordingly, pawns jumping over pieces is not allowed under any circumstances. If you are making that move, you aren't playing chess. I understand the point you were going for, but surely Wittgenstein taught us about that specific game, if nothing else.
