I think it is past the point (in the US) of political party affiliation. While there are a small number of politicians who do legit care, they are vastly outnumbered by politicians in both sides who engage in congressional insider trading, distract us and the media with culture wars all while to obscure the fact that we all have been gaslit and manipulated. People in power, the wealthy and their financial interests matter above all.

While I realize this sounds like a rant (and it is admittedly one), there are ample facts to back this up.

Record corporate profits? Check.

Record corporate stakeholders dividends and CEO salaries ? Check and check.

Companies pocketing PPP loan money designed for hiring; homeless shelters run by corrupt grifters and “labor shortage” plus “supply crisis” artificially amplified by greedy overlords to turn public opinion in their favor? Check, check and check.
