"There is nothing more heartbreaking than finding out your ugliest layer of self is too ugly for someone you love to handle."

to be honest this could be anyone! this article was as vague as a horoscope. be wary of predatory articles like this, they become more frequent in western countries around this time of year. i'll go through my thoughts one by one.

1, don't we all say we are good or great and slap on a smile unless it's our closest confidants? for example why does the cashier for my morning coffee need to know my so and so died of breast cancer recently and i'm sad? #2 since when is a positive habit like enjoying walks outdoors, music or exercise a sign of depression? maybe it's january third and i'm working on that resoluion? #3 who would be untroubled by abandonment / betrayal? #4 maybe you're just a casual friend or less, an acquaintance or a coworker / customer and it's none of your business. #5, define abnormal. the american diet is abnormal everywhere else in the world save canada. people who only get deep rem sleep like my SO don't need to sleep that much. people who experience nocturnal epilepsy like me however may find it impossible to evade grogginess, or even be able to wake on time. there's so much more to it. #6 just sounds so dietary health nut cultist to me - what's an extended period of time? sugar and caffeine are effective enough uppers to alter depression? for who? a simple google search can tell me what meds do what, and since were in the states, pills abound, i can't think of a single person who doesn't take a pill every day. there are stickers telling you on your med bottles what doesn't mix well. also it doesn't take a genius to figure out not to take an ambien and a laxative at the same time. #7 so anyone who has ever questioned philosophically what it's all about is depressed.. riiiight. #8 if u r a kre8tive person, you must be touched in the head. so patronizing to anyone artistic. #9 everyone looks for their purpose, and most want more from life. human nature is the grass is always greener. #10 sometimes they will ask for help.. wow, really? that's every person who ever lived. #11 she literally wrote for everyone - wasn't this supposed to be about people with concealed depression? what's number eleven about at all other then treat others as you would have them treat you, and what's the "golden rule" have to do with concealed depression when it's about every person ever?

please don't let adolescent level written sensational that time of year articles get to you, you've already gone through so much just to get to LAN.
