Is there really a discrimination for applicants who have dyed hair?

Our field is based on trust and faith in our judgement. Some may conflate our personal choice with our professional choices and make negative assumptions. For me, I wore long sleeves for the first year of employment with company to make a point that my tattoos will never be an issue. When I got tattooed on my trap I literally put on a plain t-shirt and traced the neck line in pen so the artist wouldn't make anything visible. If my employer couldn't tell for a full year then clearly I can cover up around clients if need be. After is finish the lateral portion of the SE I may consider full sleeves to just above the wrist because I will be well credentialed. My suggestion, at least with regard to your employer, tone it down a bit until they know you well enough to not think you're an idiot based on appearance alone.
