Is there a reason why the horn has to be where the airbag is?

While that is true for the majority of the time, there are still situations, usually unexpected ones where it would happen and whether its likely to happen or not, I still think its a safety concern for any type of button to be on the airbag that requires the driver to place their hands over it.

And I think horns definitely do have a purpose at speed for example if a car swerves into your lane because they cant see you, a horn would help warn them but obviously you'll have to brake or swerve to avoid them at the same time. But to do that safely, you need both hands on the wheel.

Also say youre at a traffic light and the car in front doesnt go on a green cause the drivers not paying attention, you give them a beep (some people don't) to tell them its green and then you get rear ended for whatever reason. Depending on the speed, the airbag may deploy.

I can think of many situations where the airbag can blow in your hands and while quite unlikely, I still think its dangerous.
