Yes, economics is a highly complex topic.
Throughout my studies in computer science and physics i have always thought this.
Actually, the universe, human brain, earths climate, and the economy are 4 of the complex systems that we are not yet about to properly model on a computer (quantum computing can be a 5th).
Its kind of like talking about gravity. Everyone knows its there, maybe everyone has something to offer. But very few actually understand general relativity equations and balance, even though most people know what e=mc2 mean.
But i guess thats the cool part about not knowing everything, it makes it a fun journey to learn and find out
