There is relation between religion and IQ ?

Well just because there is possibly a negative relation between religion and IQ doesn't mean you should be dissuaded into believing in a god. I would find being dissuaded by a negative correlation as rather imprudent. The correlation between religiosity and intelligence has been found to be significant negative (-.20 to -.25 correlation), and it's primarily because religiosity is associated with intuitive thinking rather than logical reasoning or intelligence. Everyday tasks or decisions may be strongly influenced by religion. It's that simple. However, many intelligent people are religious, but not because they're compelled to make purely intuitive reasons, but rather because that may be their philosophical bent, and a lot of times it's based on logic e.g. the fact that we exist is nearly an impossibility and the mathematical impossibility of parallel or multiple universes.
