Is there a right way of doing things?

You might be better on track to answer your own question if you just think a little more into refining what it means.

Is there a right way of doing things?

What things specifically? Showering? Yes, there are some specific best practices for showering. We would know which cleaning practices were best if they best achieved the goal of cleaning, like preventing illness, and so on. For other things it seems like different conventional ways of doing them are more or less equivalent in that regard. But again, it depends on what those things are. So if you mean, say, music, then you would be be asking certain questions relating to aesthetics, like what beauty is. If you meant moral actions, then ethics. And so on.

Not to sound harsh, but vagueness doesn't automatically make something philosophical. It just seems more difficult to find an answer because it's a vague question.
