There’s a loaf in my fridge! He climbs in every time I start to cook, and I let him hang out there because it’s hot and he’s always wearing that thick furry coat.

Be careful of things like this. One of my mom's most treasured cats loved laying on laundry as she folded it from the dryer. He would climb into the dryer but she always made sure to leave the door open and take him out when she was done. My sister came back from college after a year of being away and while my mom and step dad were grocery shopping my sister stopped the dryer mid cycle to move towels over from the washer and dry everything together. While she was moving stuff over he climbed into the dryer. My mom didn't come back for another couple hours and my sister passed out in her old bedroom so my mom decided to finish her laundry for her. She thought it was weird her cat didn't come running as she went to the laundry room and after folding several things from the dryer she found her cat inside dead. She still has nightmares from it and breaks down uncontrollably from time to time. Stuff like this is cute but your cat is becoming comfortable in a potentially dangerous area and although a fridge is no dryer, it's still risky because anything can happen. Just be wary.
