I think Wayne state police are pretty widely appraised for how they treat the community. They have great response time and put themselves in a lot of risk, which means death every so often. I had a homeless man hold a fake gun to me outside my house in New Center and their response was immediate. Turns out he was a local homeless man I didn’t know and they just calmed him down from what could have been fucked.

(I also don’t think a city college hires private cops that don’t go through the police academy, but wtf do I know I guess)

And yeah, I suppose stealing is cool for you. A sign here and there, maybe a few things from a cooperation. That’s fine. And also people you don’t agree with. That’s cool too. Fuck man, the amount of shit stolen from me because I’m deemed as someone who has privilege is fucking garbage. I’ve had so many people take stuff I worked hard for. I don’t give a shit what garbage propaganda he had.

I was part of a large broken (multiracial if that matters to you) family and grew out of foster care. I watched a black brother die and a Mexican brother get sentenced. My black sister is the only one I have left.

Maybe it’s cool to not have a life full of guns and thieving and general crime, but we don’t have that. It’s sometimes cool to have some authority.

I don’t believe in this sub and their arguments, I find it a bit fucking absurd. But at least I don’t hear that people stopping me from getting mugged in my city are fucking rent a cops.
