Is there something wrong with this?

Had something less severe when I was in tech school. Basically, in first block, our assignment was to make slides and give a briefing about a topic. I did exactly what the instructor requested. He laughed and smile and said good job blah blah blah. Turns out down the road I'm like close to finishing tech school, and some of the new kids in the first block told me that the instructor spoke about my presentation as an example of what not to brief since it was boring. Instructor didn't drop names but the kids knew because of the topic; I had a strong interest in that topic. Anyways I saw the instructor one day and I just joked about it saying something along the lines of I heard you didn't like my assignment and that was that.

Not a big deal but to me the instructor still goes down as shit in my books because it was literally my first block in tech school in the air force, was just a brand new young airman. I'd appreciate it if he had told me my briefing was boring and I need to work on X and Y instead of leaving me hanging and making fun out of it in future blocks.
