A statement that can exonorate literally any ideology in history because NONE of them matched their founding principles. No monarch ever lived up to the Divine right of Kings, no democracy ever perfectly implimented the ideas of the enlightenment and even facists were more than willing to abandon their supposed founding principles. Don't even get started on anarchists. It is inevitable. One cannot design a perfect system which involves human interaction because humans are imperfect.

Trying to excuse a system based on imperfect implimentation is garbage logic. No one in history has ever designed a system that is intended to fail spectacularly. The fact that a system consistently fails in spite of the best intentions of the designers and implimentors is a good reason to think that the design itself is flawed.
