From that sense, yeah you're right. The roster has been trash since trading for Westbrook, and while I don't necessarily fault Westbrook himself for his contract, he simply is kneecapping the lakers. it's impossible for any player to put up 47 mil. worth of production, I think only Jokic, Giannis, Steph and maybe Doncic would be able to live up to that sort of contract.

but regardless. it wasn't Wenyen or Reaves or Lonnie Walker or TB who were throwing up contested 3 pointers while double teamed and it wasn't Matt Ryan or Jones or JTA who were throwing passes straight to the opposition or fumbling the ball when attempting to catch it.

the roster is poorly constructed and the FO has only been making the lakers worse since the bubble. But tonight the win was in the bag and it was the star players who fumbled it, especially LeBron imo
