Ive just started an English class that is mostly based around discussions due to the students' high level of proficiency. We were meant to discuss the ethics of advancement in (a certain field), and rather than stay on topic, this one man began arguing back and forth with the teacher. He was so determined to demonstrate his transcendent intelligence that he completely derailed the subject to say "There is no such thing as absolute truth!" and other drivel over and over instead.

Not only did he have nothing to add to the actual discussion at hand, he also practically didn't let anyone else speak because if he ran out of stupid things to say he'd just "uhhhhhh" and "yhhhhh" till he thought of something. He went even as far as interrupting other people when they finally had the chance to speak, acting as if THEY were rude, saying "excuse me" and "MAY I FINISH?". I hope to God the tutor puts him down next time.
