Theres been a lot of negativity surrounding adulthood on AskReddit recently. What do you like about being an adult and what were you pleasantly surprised by?

Not really expecting upvotes for this, but I ended up as a fairly well off adult. So I have money and freedom, stuff that I didn't have when I was a kid.

I bought myself a Tesla and it's a blast, I can do whatever I want with it. I have my own house that I don't share with anyone but my wife (so we get to make the rules) with a nice bathroom, king size bed, and have a dedicated gaming room with 2 65" OLED and QLED TVs. I have money to travel and explore the world and enjoy it without having to do things like stay at Motel 6 or a hostel.

As an adult, I get more respect when I go places as well. People greet me well at stores and restaurants (in general).

I don't have to ask anyone for help either, I'm self sufficient, which feels nice. I'm able to be generous to others and give, rather than feeling ashamed.
