There's been some hysteria regarding Trudeau's "insane" deficit levels lately. Regardless of your political views, a bit of perspective never hurts.

the rest it is probably more important to get those corrected first.

Oh really.

Canada's corporate tax rate was low since before Harper. Maybe you should base your opinions on something other than partisanship.

Harper was Prime Minister from 2006 to 2015.

In that time, corporate tax rate fell from 34% to 26% ... and the federal portion is currently about 15%, down from 18% in recent years.

All shown here: http://www.tradingeconomics.com/canada/corporate-tax-rate

There is no way Trump will be able to lower the corporate tax rate to a third of what it is now to bring it in line with Canada.

Just watch him.

"As for the reduction of the corporate income tax rate—currently 35 percent at the federal level—Trump said “we’re trying to get it down to anywhere from 15 to 20 percent.” link

With Canada at 26% and the USA below 20%, combined with less regulation, less overall taxes and CPP fees, no carbon tax ... Trump's USA will be far more business friendly than Trudeau's Canada.

The US has a equally high deficit

Because of Obama. Obama, Wynee, Trudeau, they're all the same. Big spending, big deficits, all hurting economic growth and job creation. The very definition of "tax and spend liberals".

Canada and the US had comparable growth rates.

Under Obama. Not under Trump.

Trump's job numbers for January are already in and they are stunningly huge. Over 200,000 jobs in January along. And major corporations ... Ford, Samsung, Intel ... announcing new factories and thousands of new jobs on a weekly basis. All due to Trump making America business friendly.

I know Trump isn't going to get any love from /r/canada, but facts are facts. Trump is bringing in the biggest economic boom since Reagan, and Canada will lag behind because of Trudeau's policies.

You really need to actually learn what you are talking about before forming opinions. This isn't even up for debate, basically every factual claim you made in your post is flat out false.

Wrong, wrong, wrong.

Now let the downvotes commence. Must bury the truth!
